Armadilidium Vulgare 'Magic Potion Isopods' x 10 - Leaf Litter Living

A fun little pod who likes to be on show, white in colour with striking spots of colour set these guys apart from the norm.  

Enclosure and Environment

Housing: Use a small plastic tub or a bioactive terrarium with 2 to 3 inches of nutrient-rich, specialised isopod substrate.
Moisture Gradient: Wet only about 1/4th of the enclosure (by dampening sphagnum moss) and keep the rest relatively dry. This prevents failed moults caused by excessive wetness.
Temperature: Maintain room temperatures between 18–26°C (65–80°F).
Humidity: Keep overall ambient humidity around 45–70% with moderate ventilation.
Hides: Add cork bark, rotting wood, and a thick layer of hardwood leaf litter (such as oak or magnolia).

Diet and Nutrition

Primary Food: Decaying hardwood leaves and decomposing white-rot wood.
Supplements: Offer vegetable scraps  (squash, carrot) and protein sources (fish flakes, dried shrimp, or specialised isopod diets) once a week.
Calcium: Provide constant access to cuttlebone or crushed eggshells, as calcium is vital for their exoskeleton and successful moulting.
