  • When will my order be dispatched?
    Live orders and dry goods orders are dispatched every TUESDAY (weather permitting). We will always email you if there are changes to when we can ship your order, such as cold weather. Please contact us if you want to arrange an alternative delivery day, but please note it is entirely your responsibility to be available and our refund policy will be void if delivery is missed or left unattended. Here are estimated delivery times: -Live orders are sent with Royal Mail Tracked 24, arrive in 1 working day after dispatch -Dry Goods are sent with Royal Mail Tracked 48, arrive in 2 working days after dispatch WEATHER- Live orders are shipped with a heat pack when temperatures drop below 10 Degrees Celsius. Shipping is postponed if temperatures fall below 3 degrees C as our heat packs stop working, or if summertime temperatures become too high to avoid overheating during transit. ENCLOSURE ORDERS- We aim to have enclosures made and sent within 10-15 WORKING days (excludes weekends and public holidays) from DATE of purchase. This timeframe can sometimes increase if you order more than one enclosure. We will keep you informed of our progress and any information regarding dispatch via email.   • How much is delivery?
    Please refer to our shipping and returns section on each product page for full prices and returns practices. Our shipping rates are determined by the total weight of your cart at checkout. The shipping bands are: 0-1kg - £4.99 1-2kg - £5.99 2-10kg - £7.99 10kg+ - £9.99
  • How do I return an item?
    Please refer to our shipping and returns T&Cs page for full details In the event your live order has issues or is dead on arrival, please send evidence to us within 1 HOUR of it being delivered to be eligible for a refund. If your order is DOA due to you missing the delivery then the refund will be void. If your order develops any issues within 24 hours of receiving it, please notify us and send evidence within those 24 hours for us to consider a refund or replacement. We cannot take responsibility for anything outside of this timeframe. We will never send unhealthy livestock and offer support and advice in the event you do run into an issue. Please note we do not offer cancellations on enclosure orders. In the unlikely event your enclosure arrives broken, please send us evidence within 24 hours of arrival and we will get a replacement sent to you as soon as feasible.
  • Are there any special instructions for unpacking my live order?
    On receipt of a livestock order during winter it is very important to warm them up SLOWLY. They will always be sent with a heat pack when temperatures are below 10 degrees C, which should be discarded and the inverts should be left to adjust to room temperature for 40-60 minutes BEFORE they are moved into any heated enclosure. Sudden changes of temperature can often send inverts into shock. The same applies to inverts sent in summer. Let them acclimate to room temp in their shipping tub before adding to a set up. Always try to re-use the packaging of your order where possible, and dispose of it responsibly!
  • How do I report a glitch with the website?

  • When will my enclosure arrive?
    Our enclosures have a lead time of two weeks or so due to us making each one to order. WE HIGHLY RECCOMMEND WAITING UNTIL RECEIVING YOUR ENCLOSURE BEFORE ORDERING THE CRITTER TO GO INSIDE
  • I'm looking to make a particular set up with specific requirements such as enclosure size or hardwood branch length, can you accommodate this?"

  • What sex will the inverts I've purchased be?
    We will try our best to give you a mixture of both sexes if you have ordered several inverts or when the sex is stated, depending on availability. We do offer to sex certain inverts on request, but cannot guarantee that we will always get it right!
  • How are your invertebrates kept?
    We keep our invertebrates in optimum conditions and provide them with the best welfare and husbandry possible. All of our available invertebrates are captive bred and from our own personal collections, so you can be reassured the invert you receive is healthy and well cared for as they are essentially kept as pets and not products!
  • How do you keep your plants?
    We have an indoor greenhouse equipped with a specialised grow light and air humidifier for optimum growing conditions. All of our plants are grown in a pesticide free environment and any pests are dealt with naturally. The majority of our plants are grown from cuttings taken from our own personal collection.
  • Can I order from outside the UK?
    Due to the nature of posting live animals and plants, we currently do not offer postage of live orders outside the UK- sorry! Windsor Framework- From May 1st 2025, we can no longer send livestock or plants to Northern Ireland due to law changes. We do apologise! If you wish to order an enclosure from outside the UK, please send us a message on the contact us page stating your location and purchase, and we can discuss if its possible and send you a postage quote.
  • Can I put special instructions or a gift message on my parcel?
    Absolutely! You can either add a note to your order at checkout or contact us directly with the instructions/ message you have.
  • Do you do wholesale orders?
    We are more than happy to discuss and accept bulk orders on enclosures and certain invertebrates if available. If you're unsure you can drop us a message on the 'contact us' page and we can discuss it.
  • Im looking to buy a specific species that you don't currently have on offer.
    Our stock is constantly growing and changing, and sometimes we have species that are not listed on the website yet. For anything we do not have, we will always try and recommend trusted sellers/breeders that can help you. Feel free to contact us with any enquiries!
  • What is the EntoScapes marketplace?
    Since eBay decided to discretely change their policy on live invertebrates, with little to no warning, as well as the well-publicised changes to the site which has made it terrible to use, we decided to start a place for various high quality breeders, suppliers and hobbyists to continue selling their stock online with less complications and hidden fees than eBay.
  • How is buying from the Marketplace different from buying directly from EntoScapes?
    There should be very little difference between purchasing EntoScapes products and marketplace products. They should all go into the same basket so you can mix and match your items. The only difference is some of the items may arrive separately as they are handled by different suppliers.
  • Are all products on the Marketplace vetted for quality/welfare?
    Yes, we have endeavoured to uphold the EntoScapes Way ethos by only accepting vendors with a history of successful transactions and deliveries, or new vendors which have shown us evidence of satisfactory setups.
  • How can I identify who the seller is for a specific product?
    Their store name will be displayed beneath the item photos on the marketplace page as well as at the end of each item title so they can be searched with the search bars.
  • Will my insect arrive before my enclosure?
    Please try to order your enclosure in advance of ordering your critter. If you have purchased a invert from one of our trusted vendors on the marketplace as well as some EntoScapes enclosures to go with them all in the same basket we will try to make sure the enclosures are sent out first. This could mean a two week wait before receiving your items but this is better than having an invertebrate in a delivery pot with no enclosure!
  • Is there VAT, buyer protection fee or any other hidden costs for buyers?
    NO. There will be no additional random costs other than the amount that the seller sets and their postage fee.
  • How will shipping costs work?
    Our standard postage by weight will be applied on the marketplace just the same as the rest of the site. If you have items from several different vendors in the same cart then you will be charged separate postage for each one to make sure none of the vendors are left out of pocket.
  • Can i look through specific vendors?
    There will be a link on top of the marketplace page to browse through individual vendors and their details.
  • Are live invertebrates from Marketplace sellers covered by a live arrival guarantee?
    Yes, the vendors will agree to our terms and conditions and policies already established for the rest of the website.
  • Who do I contact if I have a question about a specific product or vendor?
    You can find the seller's contact details through the vendor list. Alternatively, if that is unsuccessful, you can use our regular 'Contact us' page and we'll put you in touch with the relevant parties, or mediate a disagreement if needed.
