Princisia vanwarebeki 'Black & White' - Vibrant Hisser - South Coast Cockroaches
Price is for 10 mixed size. Princisia vanwarebeki ' Black & White" (colour morph of the Vibrant Hisser) another cockroach hailing from Madagascar and has been in the hobby in Europe for some time. As with all hissing cockroaches they are good climbers and all life stages can and do climb. Temps: 25C - 28C Air Humidity: 60-70% Substrate Humidity: 60 /40 they do well with a horizontal humidity gradient. Food: Usual roach fair to include apples, oranges, sweet potatoes, fish food, dog/cat food, jelly pots etc. Enclosure: Tight fitting lid airtight would be best. 2-3ltr for a basic started colony, increase size as hissers grow and breed. Substrate - 25 - 30cm of coir or similar with a covering of leaf litter. Hides - Horizontal and vertical cork bark works well. Breeding: These like all 'pure' strains of hissing cockroach can take some time to mature and breed these personally were a particular challenge for me but again its down to small tweaks in enclosure, hides, substrate and heat & humidity. Personally I've found isolated heat works well and weekly misting under hides and onto leaf litter works well, but patience is key.
