Ardentiella Ember Bee (ex Merullanella) - Danielle Jungle
SKU: UNTLR
Ardentiella Ember Bee are a very active species of isopod and are great fun to care for. These isopods are quite a large species and have some fantastic colours that vary between broods which is very exciting to watch as they grow. Ember Bee isopods are (we find) one of the easiest Ardentiella to keep. Diet As with other isopods the main part of Ardentiella Ember Bee’s diet should consist of Leaf Litter and some White Rotten Wood. A good calcium source : I like to use cuttlefish bone, as a source of protein : fish flakes and once a week a slice of vegetable like cucumber and courgette. Their preferred temperature in which they thrive the most is between 22 and 26°C. Very uncommon to found in any species, they prefer high humidity from 60% to 75%, as this will keep them moist and prevent them from oversaturating. Provide airflow so no mold or bacteria can grow inside the enclosure and harm your isopods. Use a secure, escape-proof terrarium, as these isopods, mainly the younger ones, can easily climb vertical surfaces and escape the enclosure.
