15 x 15 x 20cm Arboreal Enclosure Starter Kit - Acrylic Jumping Spider Enclosure
The ultimate all-in-one habitat upgrade for established climbing species.
Our standard size Arboreal Starter Kit is expertly curated to take the guesswork out of designing a functional, stunning vertical display. Built around our signature 15 x 15 x 20cm premium acrylic enclosure, this comprehensive bundle provides naturalistic textures and organic elements that encourage instinctual climbing, web-building, and hunting behaviours.
We have put together a starter kit that includes the essentials to make your critters feel right at home, whilst also providing you with enough room for your own decor and enough substrate for future use!
NOTE: as these are made to order, all enclosures have a lead time of 10-15 working days as there is only two of us running the entire business, and sometimes we get swamped!
We encourage you to plan accordingly and to order/ acquire any live inhabitants after the enclosure has arrived.

When housing sensitive species, the quality of the habitat directly impacts the health and longevity of the inhabitant. Our bespoke builds are engineered to solve the common failures of mass-produced, flat-pack alternatives.
This section compares our UK-handmade builds against mass-produced alternatives to help you make an informed choice for your livestock.

Cleaning - Seamless interior (Easy wipe)
- Dirt and dust trapping joints.
- Absorbent rubber bands become mouldy and break.
- Absorbent, low quality acrylic is hard to clean satisfactorily.
Stackability - Reinforced, load-bearing design with non-slip rubber feet
- Structural risks if stacked on top of each other.
- Often uneven surface on top.
Visibility - 360° Seamless Clarity
- Visible seams and unsightly connection points.
- Clouding and discolouration common due to low quality absorbent plastic and poor ventilation.
Door System - Clear Hinge & Secure Latch System.
- Polycarbonate to prevent un-secured edges from warping, ensuring maximum security and longevity
- Friction-fit or simple tabs.
- Doors often fall inwards allowing critters to escape.
- Doors often warp over time
Durability - Majority of edges secured with strong, non-toxic acrylic-weld cement which prevents warping and fuses the panels together at an atomic level.
- Extremely strong, clear cast acrylic for high impact resistance.
- Non-porous and UV resistant.
- Prone to bowing, warping and yellowing.
- Total structural failure likely from small a small impact.
Bioactive ready? - Yes - Deep-base water-tight seal
- No - Will leak at every seam
- External Dimensions: 15 x 15 x 20cm
- Material: All crystal clear polished cast acrylic for great 360° viewing. Polycarbonate door for reduced warping.
- Drilled Air Holes: Ventilation on sides and back, door and lid to provide perfect cross-ventilation. Also an option to swap for a large vent hole if you prefer a 3D printed vent or feeding apparatus.
- Access: Front-opening hinged door with a precision-fit acrylic latch to prevent escapes and provide easy access for maintenance and feeding.
- Substrate Barriers: Features a 6cm deep-base seal, allowing for bioactive layers, drainage, and moisture retention without the risk of leaks. Also a 2cm barrier above door to avoid web breakage and disturbance if keeping spiders.
- Extras: Non-slip silicone corner covers for safe and compact enclosures that can easily stack and still be aesthetically pleasing
- Ventilation: We offer two precision-drilled ventilation profiles. Our Standard Ventilation is 6 rows on the side and back and provides maximum airflow for larger invertebrates and critters that prefer high ventilation, while our Reduced Ventilation is specifically designed for critters that require less airflow and higher humidity.
- Hole Diameter: Choose between 1mm or 2mm ventilation holes based on your invertebrate's needs and personal preference.
- Bore Holes: We also offer the ability to drill one large hole on each face for fitting in a 3D printed vent or feeding apparatus if you do not want our precision drilled lines of ventilation.
- Door Direction: Choice of side opening (R-L) door or a downwards opening door, depending on what invert you are keeping and how likely their are to try and escape. This may also be useful depending on what type of feeder insect you need to drop into the enclosure as fruit flies can be trickier with a sideways opening door.
- Colours: Personalise and stylise your enclosure with a coloured acrylic background! Choose from something funky to fit your preferred colour palette, or choose a naturalistic colour to make enclosure decoration even more seamless
-
Arboreal Specialists: The vertical orientation is ideal for climbing species that require height for successful moulting. It is perfectly suited for Jumping Spiders, Praying Mantises, and juvenile Phasmids.
-
Micro-Bioactive Systems: The deep-base design allows you to establish a functional ecosystem with springtails and isopods, such as Dwarf White or Southern Pill Isopods, to manage organic waste naturally.
-
Educational Displays: The 360-degree clarity makes this enclosure an excellent choice for classrooms or home offices where observing natural behaviours is the primary focus.
-
Display-Grade Quarantine: Perfect for the initial monitoring of new arrivals. Unlike temporary plastic tubs, our 3mm acrylic allows for crystal-clear health checks and stress-free observation during the crucial "settling-in" period.
-
Arboreal Tarantula Spiderlings: An excellent stepping-stone enclosure for Avicularia or Caribena species. The precision cross-ventilation is a vital safety feature for these sensitive spiderlings, preventing the stale air issues common in standard vials.
-
Small Communal Projects: The secure latching system and 15 x 15cm footprint make this a great choice for small communal groups of micro-invertebrates, such as Blue Bean Isopods or small velvet spiders, where security is a high priority.
-
Botanical "Desktop" Terrariums: Beyond live critters, these enclosures serve as premium miniature greenhouses. The 3mm UV-stable acrylic creates an ideal microclimate for humidity-loving mosses, small ferns, or carnivorous plants like Pinguicula.
