Coco Coir Substrate
Coco coir is substrate made from coconut fibres and is the base for many substrates due to it being 100% biodegradable and highly versatile.
Not suitable for housing millipedes, and must be mixed with edible components for Isopods!
You can mix up a very simple substrate to house a variety of inverts like snails and cockroaches both long and short-term, and it makes up a lot of plant soils as well due to it being so high in carbon with good water retention.
Coco coir allows for a fantastic air/water exchange for fast drainage
